My name is Asli McCullers, and I am a rising senior Biology major with a concentration in Functional Biology of Animals, and a minor in Percussion Performance! This is my third year serving as a section leader for Towson University Marching Band, and I am absolutely elated to be able to serve this amazing program again! Outside of band, I keep busy with an eclectic mix of on and off campus involvements ! After marching a season with Imperial Dynasty Arts Program in 2017, I began working as a front ensemble instructor at my alma mater, Governor Thomas Johnson High School. During the summer, I am a Research Intern at the University of Maryland School of Public Health! On campus, I work at the Counseling Center as the Lead Diverse Minds Peer Educator, with the Honors College as a Recruitment Officer, and with NourishTU as a Nutrition Peer Educator! I am also involved with TriBeta Biological Honor Society, Undergraduate Research Club, Active Minds, Towson Opportunities in STEM and the Honors College Leadership Council! In Spring 2019, I became a sister of the Nu Delta chapter Sigma Alpha Iota, and I currently serve as Diversity Chair! In my spare time, I volunteer at Greater Baltimore Medical Center in the Inpatient Oncology unit! Marching band has had an incredibly profound impact on my life, and I am immensely honored and excited to continue being a part of Student Marching Advisory Council for my senior season! I can’t wait to meet everyone and get this season rolling!
