Percussion Leads

Jailine Aparicio

Hey everyone! My name is Jailine. I am known as Commander Hype in the drumline. I am going to be a junior this fall, and I am the section leader for the cymbals in the band. In high school I marched bass drum, cymbals, and I lowkey learned tenors, but my favorite is cymbals. I am very excited for next season and I can’t wait to see all the new faces! If you have any drumline questions feel free to email me at mapari1@students.towson.edu

Zari McCullers

Hey everyone! My name is Zari McCullers, and I am so honored to be a part of Front Ensemble SMAC this year. I am a rising sophomore, majoring in Cellular and Molecular Biology and minoring in percussion performance. This past indoor, I marched center marimba with Imperial Dynasty. Currently, I am a front ensemble technician at Governor Thomas Johnson High School. At the start of my freshman year, I would’ve never thought I would get the opportunity to join SMAC so soon. The TUMB is such a large and unique family, and I only dreamed of having the chance to grow as a leader in this way. Now that I’ve been given this opportunity, I can not wait to make a positive impact on the community and culture of the TUMB. Outside of band, I have a passion for music composition, and I am a peer leader for the Towson Opportunities In STEM program.
